Meet Dr. Grant!


Dr. Richard Grant is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics who is educated in the latest techniques in diagnosing and correcting problems associated with the misalignment of the teeth and jaws.


He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy where he graduated with high honors. While in dental school, he received the Dental Merit Scholarship and an induction into a prestigious national dental scholastic honor society.  In his 3rd year of dental school, Dr. Grant completed a residency program in Cleft Palate and craniofacial abnormalities at Loyola University in Chicago where he expanded his knowledge and abilities in the different specialties of dentistry. With this, Dr. Grant is able to fully integrate all aspects of your treatment and discuss it thoroughly with you. He subsequently earned a Masters specialty degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Saint Louis University. He has also been past President of a local dental society.


Dr. Grant stays up to date with the latest advancements in orthodontics with memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society.


Dr. Grant and his wife, Carolyn, have two children, Crystal, and James. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, riding motorcycles and biking.
